Coming home tonight, the moon was larger than usual, and just behind the Superga Church. So I set up the tripod risking my life, and there it is! :D

(the picture is actually 2 shots of the same scene combined in one, this is, however, exactly how it looked).

I think i start to see the point of cameraphones (even if mine sucks).

This was on the way to the supermarket... the sign reads:

"If I ever find out who closes my mirrors, I will repeatedly kick him in the groin".

(ok, that's the general meaning... it's not put down so politely ... :D )

Flickr just added an easy (and fun) system to add geographic information on the pictures you take. It works, and it's really a great feature.

Finally i took the time to go out at the "blue hour" , that should be when the sunset is gone, but the sky isn't black yet...

Set your camera to overexpose a bit, and the results are strange: the camera will add up light, more than you see with your eyes.

It's a cross between day and night.

Notice the car trail passing by. They were all slowing down, passing by me with the tripod... I think they thought i was a human speed-camera... :D

It's been around for a while: a technique that turns your pictures into fake miniature models...

(Ok, it was some bright guy's idea with a proper tilt-shift lens, then we followed, the poor photoshop users...)

anyway, there's a tutorial here!

In the picture, Olympia Stadion in Helsinki - does it look a bit like a miniature? (say yes, please!)

And so, in the end, i finally decided to get a decent digital camera.

Now I get so many more switches and levers to play with! :D

Unfortunately, this also mean I'll have to buy lenses. And they are insanely expensive. But I can give up food and clothing and ... Mm, i think the new iMac is quite nice too... the shopping ghost is getting me, i need help.
