Timelapse!

Negli ultimi 5 giorni ho fatto da balia ad una pianta. L'ho illuminata notte e giorno, l'ho nutrita. Mi sono svegliato di notte per cambiare la pila alla macchina fotografica alle ore più improbabili. Ecco il risultato! :-)

Per farlo ho usato il PC (l'idea iniziale di scattare una foto a mano ogni 5 minuti è stata scartata) :) , usando solo applicazioni opensource, da buon nerd.

Mossa a sorpresa dei creatori di South Park che hanno messo a disposizione tutte le puntate di tutte le serie online. Sono senza pubblicità(EDIT: l'hanno messa) , si vedono molto bene, e sono ovviamente di cattivissimo gusto, come al solito! :)

Quelli che vi consiglio di non perdere sono:

Night of the living homeless: i senzatetto come gli zombie, corrono per la città gridando "change ... change"... una strana profezia, un anno prima della crisi dei subprime.

Volcano: una spedizione di caccia si trasforma in un viaggio dell'orrore quanto un vulcano erutta e si presenta uno strano mostro di nome Scannachiappolo (mostro con un braccio fatto di sedano e una gamba fatta a Ridge di Beautiful).

La petit Tourette: cartman finge di soffrire della sindrome di Tourette.

Altri, sono proprio da evitare... :)

Per l'esame di storia del cinema sto guardando classici a tutto andare. Oggi però Monicelli mi ha parlato dagli schermi de "I soliti Ignoti". Beh, insomma coincide tutto tranne il figlio di.. :D

Torino storm

A good storm hit Torino today, and I was lucky enough to be driving home after a long day at work.... The traffic lights were.. off. Streets were rivers (see the video included) and some were just closed (or reserved to those with amphibian cars). Of course it took me 1h and a half to get home, just to find that my window had opened itself because of the wind, and 5cms of water were waiting for me... Such a lovely day... (video shot with my new mobile phone, tamarro style!)

The station, the church... good old days, that I miss greatly. It's almost three good years now!

I definitely need to get a sauna sometime soon. :D

Red Bull Air Race

I don't like Red Bull: the drink, I mean. It's liquid chewing-gum. But I do agree the guy who invented it decided to go crazy and pull out some cool things. Like this one: http://www.redbullairrace.com/. Have a look at the official video too... It's... crazy. It was the highlight of St.Stephan's day when we were in Budapest (then a strong storm came, trees were torn apart and tiles fell from the rooftops, killing people). we were in a restaurant. Got in when the sky was clear, we got out when it was over: it still was impressive.

Remember my beloved turtle? The one we called "Pina" because we thought "He" was a female and then found out he was not? The video will be featured on this TV show called Viral Videos for the cable network Bravo in the us! :D Of course you don't get that channel here, but if you get Sky Pay tv you might have seen some shows like "Queer Eye for the straight guy" and some new reality show about a nanny that has to deal with some terrible children... They are on the bravo channel as well. Pina will finally get the attention he deserves. And since he will surely get rich enough, probably he will be able to afford a proper partner as well. Or at least a sexier stone to play with!

VIDEO: The Truth about my turtle

Many years ago, my mother came home with a nice turtle. We fed it with fruits and vegetables and hosted it in our garden. We called it "Pina". When the spring came, we suddently knew we had to switch to a masculine name. "He" found a mate in a friendly stone that sits on my garden. The first time I noticed, it was a bit scary, because of the sounds. Actually, I didn't know turtles could make sounds. Nor I knew they had such a tongue... Some years later, we brought a female turtle to the garden. For some,that was believed to be a brutal and "prostitutional" act on our behalf. This is why I am posting this very shocking video, to convince the reader(s) that such an act was utterly necessary. I bet you will feel pity for this poor creature.
