my name is actually Mario (but my grandfather's name was indeed Carlo) :)

I'm sorry, but Vercellotti is actually quite a common name around here (it means "from Vercelli", which is a nearby city). As far as I know, no relatives of mine used to live in torino (they lived in the countryside, being farmers). So I don't think we are related!

But, my mother was in montevideo two weeks ago! Does it count? :)

Now I go on in English.....
My name is Enrique, I'm 43 years old, and live in Montevideo, Uruguay.
My mother (Marisa Vercellotti) was born in Torino in 1926. Her father, Camilo had at least a couple of brothers (Casimiro and Mario), and a sister (Carolina). They all lived in Torino. I remember having visited "zia Lina" in Turin back in 1980 or so.
I came accross your name and I thought of writing to you to see if we happened to be related.
If you feel like it, let me know if any of the above does ring a bell.....
