Have you ever watched those programmes such as "TG2 Motori"? It's programmed on sunday, when you are still chewing on the cake your grandma baked for you, half asleep on the sofa.

It has a fake 3d studio, some roadtests and the bleakest of anchors, or , so to speak "motor journalists". There's some idea of putting the car (usually bad) in context, doing it "the italian way", that means bringing it in front of some church or palace, and saying something random about it.

And the reviews are always balanced, or on the verge of advertising. To put it plainly: it sucks.

Then comes the internet and youtube and bittorrent, and you get Top Gear by Bbc: probably most famous show of this type, with good humor, a completely "ass__le in a funny way" host and cohosts, huge production value and audience.

They do funny stuff like going to the north pole with an offroader, launching a car on a kind of space shuttle, racing an airplane, get shot while driving, and so on. And it makes for a great show you can actually enjoy.

It would surely make you spill you grandma's cappuccino!

EDIT: how cool! in the first episode they drove by the town of Vercelli, some 30kms from my home, and the town I'm named after. That happens to be a quite horrible place. And they noticed...
