I strongly feel that Drupal is currently the strongest and most active CMS around. (along with Plone, maybe... but Zope gives me headache, and I have bad experiences with plone).

The problem and strongness of drupal are its modules: you can find practically anything, but you can definitely get lost in there. Then there are modules that will let you create new content types, new views... the possibilities are endless, really...

So it's good news that they are trying to make it simpler using installation profiles: collection of modules and settings that will make the average cms user simpler! for now there are just some examples (among which "Drupal for churches!" I have to test it! :D ) but I'm sure they will make 10 000 of them (and we will be back to square one!).
