I'm in the Classical Philology library this morning, not because of a sudden shift in my cultural interests, or for some deep need to find refuge in the classics, but because of course of the free wireless connection, large desks, and because people are nicer here (that is to say, they normally don't shout in the study room).

She didn't recognize me, but I did. Her hair is still flaming red, and her face has become much more friendly after these 10 years. Now it just looks like she could smack you in the face if you sneeze, at the time she would run over you with a truck.

She was my Greek-Latin teacher, the first one. The first day she introduced us to the beauty of studying ancient greek: "You need to grasp the alphabet first... so copy these 3 pages of unknown symbols over and over. I'll get your papers tomorrow".

It took me eight hours.

No, I won't go and say hello. I hope she's sad and suffers for some reason. (mmm actually she seemed quite in a good mood, damn)

p.s.: it's her in the picture using the iSight in a friend's laptop. The face is "hidden", because of legal issues... No, actually, I just fear her so much, I would have nightmares of her kicking my butt forever if she ever saw this.
