Olympics ... and now let's breathe again
Yes, there has been some Olympic games around here. Some japanese people, some Canadian and some American. I went to an event, really, the Freestyle Skiing - Bone Breaking Insane People Men. And, it was great.
I tried hard(ish) to get involved in the spirit, the thrill... But the thing that I remember the most is the scaring crowd on saturday evening. Like all the discos closed, and cages opened from which an horde of the so called "Tamarri" were rushing on the completely crowded streets to go "somewhere" to do "something", including me. And that was maybe stupid. But, what the heck, it only happens every 4 years! and, probably in another 100 years around here.
Ok, it has all passed. Money was made (not by me of course), we now have a sort of metro, and some building sites are closed. Some of them were just covered with plastic linen, and the romanian and polish workers are getting ready to start all over again, and all the Arab and Gipsy and street begging people will be able to come out from they were secretly kept for 15 days (where have they all gone?!)
But it's getting towards spring, and hopefully i will manage to get around a bit next week with old friends, and pump some "passion" around here.

già, è passata... quand'è che andiamo a berci una birretta?
finalmente in una cittàtriste dove non succede mai un cazzo!
ca..o, quando non c'e niente da fare, e male, quando c'e, male ancora! dovete decidere!
Hey, I was a proud citizen of Torino for 6 months (Oct '04 - Mar '05) and I miss it like crazy. I even miss not getting out of my room for days sometimes and then when I did go out, to wonder around the city, go uphill to Superga and... oh, I'll stop, tears are starting to come out.
Mario, bubba, bevete una birretta anche per me!
